This is a private cultural 4WD total 1145km driving trip, combination of unforgettable Naadam Festival and  Khuvsgul Lake National Park.

Our tour will take 11 days to cover the best travel destinations in Mongolia including Naadam Festival - one of the main events in Mongolia have been organized since the time of great Khans, Bayangobi sand dunes, UNESCO World Heritage Sites; Mongolian Ancient Capita Karakorum - ruins and museum of ancient,

Tsenkher hot springs, Taikhar rock, Terkh white Lake and Khorgo extinct volcano. The tour continues to the Northern Mongolia for Khovsgol Lake; the second largest freshwater lake in Central Asia, making up over 1% of the world’s freshwater storage.

It is one of the most beautiful and scenic spots in Mongolia, where high mountain peaks, forests, lush meadows and steppes all form a rich ecosystem and diverse wildlife habitats. Also, visit Tsaatan minority who live in huts and reindeer herding.

During Naadam Festival, all good sportsmen and women of the country complete in one of the tree National sports competitions that are: archery, horse racing, and wrestling. Sainbainuu! Welcome to Mongolia, whenever your international flight lands at “Chinggis Khan” international airport our team will meet you at the airport and you will be transferred to the hotel in the city. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance flight or possibly from jet-lag. If you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to ask from your hotel reception for recommendations.

After breakfast at the hotel, your adventure begins, we drive to Bayan Gobi (approximately 5 hours).  Magnificent sand dunes - surrounded by hills with willow trees, streams, and bushes, and appear as a small desert in the center of the country. This sand dune is 80km long and the widest part of the sand dune is 9-10 km. Also, the sand dune called the mini Gobi.

In the afternoon, we will visit the camel herder family and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle. The sand dunes are the perfect place for camel riding. We will discover this magnificent place on camelback. Mongolia is home to 2/3 of the two-humped Bactrian camels in the world. It is a gentle, calm and extraordinary patient animal and can carry on without water for a month.

Bet, you never rode a Bactrian camel, riding a Bactrian camel is much more comfortable than the camel in Sahara, India or anywhere else. Its two humps support you from both sides and easy pace will comfort you so much. Return to the Ger camp near the sand dunes for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will drive to the Karakorum and Erdenezuu Monastery (approximately 1 hour). The Karakorum was not only the capital of the vast Mongolian Empire but the epic center of trade along Silk Road. However, the Karakorum of today is a small settlement with little focus on tourism.

Today there is a museum does show off some of the artifacts they've recovered so far, Upon arrival in the village, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn about beautiful ancient Karakorum. Then we will visit the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdene Zuu, built in the 16th century, with 108 stupas. Here you can see interesting listen to monk chanting Buddhist sutras.

After lunch, we will drive to Tsenkher Valley (approximately 1-2 hours) which  Mongolians call 'The Paradise of the Horse Herders' due to its lush grasses and open valleys, where water flows out of the ground at 86°C, and where we can enjoy a relaxing soak. The afternoon is free to explore the valley and surrounding hills either by foot or by horseback. Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp

Today we will go to see amazing extinct Khorgo volcano drive (approximately 3-4 hours), on the way we will visit Taikar Rock which is a massive granite rock located on the banks of the Tamir River surrounding the flat country. It’s covered with 150 writings in many different languages and dating back from many different periods. 

Khorgo extinct volcano was active 8000 years ago. This province is beautiful scenery of mountains, cliffs, rapid rivers, lakes, extinct volcanoes, and fantastic caves green forests and pastures, where the long-haired yaks and horse thrive. 

After seeing extinct Khorgo volcano crater our journey will continue to Terkh White Lake. Terkh White Lake is a mesmerizing beautiful lake with crystal clear fresh water. Hiking, horse riding, mountain climbing, and swimming are all good here. Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp

Today is a long driving day, after breakfast, we will drive (approx 5-7 hours) through beautiful nature routes, we cross vast grasslands and arrive at Khovsgol Lake. Some say this is Mongolia's most beautiful destination. Khovsgol Lake is the second largest freshwater lake in Central Asia with 262m depth.

This gorgeous lake is fed by 96 rivers and streams but only Egiin River flows out from the lake. Khuvsgul lake is inhabited by 9 species of fish, while the nearby taiga forest, forest steppe, mountains, and the lake provide habitat for 68 species of mammals.

The lake is surrounded by dozens of stunning mountains, thick pine forests and lush meadows with grazing yaks and horses. Overnight at the tourist ger camp near the lake.

There are horse riding and fishing opportunities around the lake. In the afternoon, we will drive to the north to visit Reindeer village where we can experience Tsaatan; reindeer breeders’ unique everyday life and traditional tent dwelling “Urts”. Return to the tourist ger camp and overnight in the ger.

Today we will return to Ulaanbaatar city, capital of Mongolia. On the way to the local airport, we will visit Uushig ancient Deer Stone Monument as another wonder of the Khuvsgul region. This is most clearly depicted deer stones left behind by bronze-age men. A deer, an arch, a shield, a horse, a knife, the moon, the sun, and a mirror figured belt were engraved on the stones. 

Upon arrival in UB go shopping for souvenirs and local products famous “Gobi” cashmere factory store. Next, we visit “Gandan” Monastery, Mongolia’s largest functioning Buddhist monastery including the Mongolian Buddhist University. The highlight of visiting Gandan is the 26-meter-high majestic gilded indoor statue of Megjid Janraisig. 

Next, we visit the Mongolian national museum, the museum presents Mongolian history and culture from prehistoric times to the present day. Exhibitions cover prehistory, pre-Mongol Empire history, Mongol Empire, Mongolia during Qing rule, ethnography and traditional life, and twentieth-century history. The ethnographic collection has significant displays of the traditional dress of various Mongolian ethnic groups and of snuff bottles. Or if we go straight to “Wonders of Mongolia” folklore show /depends on traffic in Ulaanbaatar/.

“Wonders of Mongolia” folklore show by famous Tumen-Ekh ensemble - is one of the most successful folk art groups to share traditional Mongolian music with the world, having traveled to over 40 countries. Will have dinner at 8:00 o’clock and transferred to the hotel.

In the morning your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and we will be attending the opening ceremony of the Festival of Naadam in Ulaanbaatar national stadium.

It's Mongolia's biggest, most colorful and most important annual cultural event, focusing on three sports: horse racing, Mongolian-style wrestling, and archery. It's no coincidence that all three skills derive from the capabilities of Genghis Khan's legendary military - a force that conquered and controlled the largest empire the world has ever known. 

After the opening ceremony, we will visit the Naadam archery field beside the central stadium. The archery field will be filled with men and women archers in colorful ethnic national costumes who shooting arrows from their bows. This kind of contest was in existence in the 13th century and was in use until recently. 

In the afternoon, we will drive to “Hui Doloon Hudag” (horse racing field of Naadam festival) with Mongolian racers from all corners of Mongolia. You will experience the brilliant madness of the horse race field and the unsurpassed cultural opportunity to watch the horse racing competition included around 250-300 horses.

There are you will have a great opportunity to take photography local horse trainers, peoples with traditional garments and so more contrast. After exploring the Hui Doloon Khudag, we will drive back to the city and re-enter into the

Naadam stadium to watch for Mongolian national wrestling, you’ll see many wrestlers wrestling onto the green field. In the usual 512 wrestler tournament, there will be nine elimination rounds of wrestling over two days. There is no weight category in Mongolian wrestling. We will wander around outside of Naadam stadium to watch locals who dressed their national costumes, food and trade corners etc.we will stay overnight at 4the -star Hotel in Ulaanbaatar.

Today, after breakfast we will drive to Terelj National Park. This is one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia which is by its natural beauty, forested alpine mountains and interesting rock formations (Massive woolsack weather conditions) very well known. 

On the way visit “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, you can ascend to the head of the horse using an elevator. There you have a good panoramic view of the complex area and the scenery beyond. You are now definitely in Genghis Khan’s country!

From here, we will take a short drive to the Ger camp in Terelj National Park for lunch, In the afternoon we will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock - interesting rock formation looking like a turtle. Also, visit Ariyabal meditation temple - surrounded by scenic mountains with massive rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. From here we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar
