On this an adventurous trip across Mongolia, we will experience the incredible diversity of scenery in Mongolia abounds. There are much of the journey being on dirt roads but it is also highly rewarding with spectacular scenery and memorable sights throughout. Offering plenty of good walks and cultural interactions

Our tour will take 14 days to cover the best travel destinations in Mongolia including Khustai National park, the area is home to the Mongolian wild horse known as Przewalski horse (Takhi).

Sainbainuu! Welcome to Mongolia, whenever your international flight lands at “Chinggis Khan” international airport our team will meet you at the airport and you will be transferred to the hotel in the city. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. 

You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance flight or possibly from jet-lag. If you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to ask from your hotel reception for recommendations.

After breakfast at the hotel, your adventure begins a drive to Bayan Gobi (approximately 5-6 hours), magnificent sand dunes - surrounded by hills with willow trees, streams, and bushes, and appear as a small desert in the center of the country. This sand dune is 80km long and the widest part of the sand dune is 9-10 km. Also, the sand dune called the mini Gobi.

After a lunch at tourist ger camp restaurant, we will drive to Ancient Capital Karakorum & Erdene Zuu Monastery (approximately 1-2 hours) from Ulaanbaatar. The Karakorum was not only the capital of the vast Mongolian Empire but the epic center of trade along Silk Road. However, the Karakorum of today is a small settlement with little focus on tourism.

Today there is a museum does show off some of the artifacts they've recovered so far, Upon arrival in the village, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn about beautiful ancient Karakorum. Then we will visit the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdene Zuu, built in the 16th century, with 108 stupas. After breakfast, we will drive to Tsenkher Valley (approximately 2-3 hours) which  Mongolians call 'The Paradise of the Horse Herders' due to its lush grasses and open valleys, where water flows out of the ground at 86°C, and where we can enjoy a relaxing soak.

The afternoon is we will visit nomadic family, meet real nomads and visit their Gers to experience the real nomadic culture and after free to explore the valley and surrounding hills either by foot or by horseback. Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp

After breakfast, we will drive to Orkhon river and the Red waterfall in Orkhon valley ( approximately 3-4 hours). The valley had attracted humankind since Paleolithic times some 750,000 years ago.

Therefore Orkhon valley is one of the world’s most important cultural regions and recognized as a “Cultural Landscape” of the UNESCO World Heritage in 2004. The Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape is the place to visit for anyone who wishes to follow the historical path of the Mongol Empire.

Orkhon valley is boasted its’ natural beauties, making it one of the favorite places among tourists. You will witness unique lifestyle, culture, and rare historical memorials. The beauty of Orkhon Valley, Orkhon waterfall formed by combination volcanic eruption and earthquakes some 20000 years ago cascades down from a height of 27 meters.  Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp

After breakfast, we will drive to the Ongiin Khiid   (approximately 6-8 hours). Ongiin Khiid refers to two ruined monasteries: Bari Lam Khiid, which was built in 1810 on the north bank of the river near the tourist ger camps, and Khutagt Lam Khiid, which was built in 1760 on the south side of the river and is only accessible when the water is low or frozen over.

One of the largest monasteries in Mongolia, the complex was destroyed in 1937 as part of a communist purge. Since 1990, a small but growing contingent of monks has resettled amid the ruins, gradually restoring the ancient site. Spend the day exploring the ruins and visit the small museum. After breakfast, we will drive to Bayanzag /Flaming Cliffs/  (approximately 5-6 hours),  first discovered by Roy Chapman Andrews, famous American explorer in 1920, flaming cliffs of Bayanzag are an important site for both archeological and paleontological finds.

Complete dinosaur skeletons, including One-horned dinosaur (Protoceratops) and Egg-thief (Oviraptor) and numerous eggs, were excavated in ravines between the red flaming cliffs, which look like fire in the middle of the desert from distance.

These magnificent red tall rocks formed as a result of wind and water erosion. White fossilized bones are still found nowadays. Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp.

After breakfast at tourist Ger camp restaurant, we will drive to the giant sand dunes known as Khongor Sand Dunes (approximately 5-6 hours), Mongolia's largest and called the ‘singing sands’ by the locals. These monster dunes stretch for over 180km and can reach up to 300 meters in height.

There is a small river called Khongoryn Gol, with dark green banks full of flowers along the side of the dunes This is the quintessential landscape that one would picture if asked to imagine a desert. Sweeping, wave-like patterns of sand framed by a bright blue sky and lit by a relentless sun.

The dunes’ nickname comes from the sound produced by small avalanches of sand on a windy day, and the noise has been likened the distant hum of an aircraft propeller. There'll be time to do a walk up to the top of the dunes, and watch the sunset. Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp

Today you will have a chance to ride a two-humped camel along the iconic singing sand dunes. The camel is a gentle, calm and extraordinary patient animal and can carry on without water for a month.

The Khongor Sand Dunes are the perfect place for camel riding. Enjoy this typically Mongolian experience while you make your way through this remote landscape and take in the views. The rest of the day we will visit camel herder family and free time. Perhaps go for a walk, read a book, catch up on some sleep or just relax around the ger camp

After breakfast at tourist Ger camp restaurant, we will drive to Yolyn Am (Vulture Canyon) (approximately 5-6 hours) is a deep and narrow gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan (Three Beauties of the Gobi) Mountain National Park. The area, as part of the Gobi Desert, sees little precipitation.

However, Yolyn Am is notable for a deep ice field; it remains frozen for most of the year, except late summer. There is a small natural museum at the entrance of the National park which exhibits a collection of dinosaur eggs, bones, stuffed birds and snow leopard. This place is also very rich in the rare plants. You may be lucky enough to spot wild sheep and goat, grazing high on the cliff walls. Stay overnight at tourist Ger camp near Gobi Gurvan Saikhan & Yolin am / Vulture Canyon /.

After breakfast at tourist Ger camp restaurant, we will drive to Tsagaan Suvarga  (approximately 5-6 hours). Also known as the "white stupa”, the region is well known for its formation of rocky cliffs that are composed of differ rent ores. When exposed to oxygen, the rock turns different shades of pink, red and orange.

The cliffs date back as far as 10 million years, with the different colored layers indicating different times in the rock's history. Hike and explore the nearby caves after lunch. Also, the area is an excellent site for taking photographs of the beautiful panoramic views. Stay in the ger camp again tonight.

After breakfast at the tourist ger camp restaurant, we will drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu (approximately 6 hours), a series of granitic formations located in the Middle Gobi province. Ruggedly beautiful, the rocks are worshipped by locals, who are known to make pilgrimages here, and it is rumored that Genghis Khan also traveled to this site during his conquests.

Here the group will encounter ancient rock paintings, natural springs, and a ruined monastery. You will have the opportunity to hike in the area and take in the awe-inspiring views before heading onwards to a ger camp for the night.

Today, after breakfast we will drive to Terelj National Park (approximately 6 hours). This is one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia which is by its natural beauty, forested alpine mountains and interesting rock formations (Massive woolsack weather conditions) very well known. 

In the afternoon, we will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock - an interesting rock formation looking like a turtle. Also, visit Ariyabal meditation temple - surrounded by scenic mountains with massive rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. From the top, you can enjoy the breathtaking view overlooking the Terelj National Park.

Today we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar. On the way visit “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. From here, you can ascend to the head of the horse using an elevator. There you have a good panoramic view of the complex area and the scenery beyond. You are now definitely in Genghis Khan’s country!

We will visit Zaisan Memorial Hill is located on the south side of Ulaanbaatar City, right beside the Bogd Khan Mountain having the best view of the city and surrounding hills. Next visit Bogd Khan Palace museum - the complex was a residence of 8th Bogd Javzandamba in the 19th century, the head of Mongolian religion. The palace consists of seven Summer Prayer temples and the winter palace. 
After lunch, visit “Gandan” Monastery, Mongolia’s largest functioning Buddhist monastery including the Mongolian Buddhist University. The highlight of visiting Gandan is the 26-meter-high majestic gilded indoor statue of Megjid Janraisig. 

Afterward, free of your choice. You can be transferred to the hotel for rest and refreshment or go shopping for souvenirs and local products, your guide will be ready to serve you for that. Suggested shopping places are State department store, the famous “Gobi” cashmere factory store. In the evening, we will visit “Wonders of Mongolia” folklore show by famous Tumen-Ekh ensemble - is one of the most successful folk art groups to share traditional Mongolian music with the world, having traveled to over 40 countries. Will have dinner at 8:00 o’clock and transferred to the hotel.
